The Traditional Buildings Health Check has been helping owners of older properties in Stirling since 2014. We have supported over 450 owners to choose the right repairs for their building.
The services offered exclusively to TBHC members include:

Low-cost inspection service with detailed report which prioritises repairs

Use of drone technology to reach high areas of buildings (where location is suitable)

Year round advice service from our expert and impartial team including a free follow-up meeting to discuss your inspection report

Membership is just £45 per year with inspection fees starting at £225.
Supporting You to Love Your Building
At Stirling City Heritage Trust we love traditional buildings. We know that they can be difficult to care for but we are here to help you.
Become a TBHC member today and book your low-cost inspection. We will help you to decide which repairs to tackle and how to appoint a contractor.
We will also guide you through the grants process and any statutory consents needed.
Traditional Building Repair Grant
Traditional Building Repair grants are available to Traditional Building Health Check Members to support the cost of conservation-standard repairs to historic and traditional buildings.

Schedule Of Repairs
Coming soon: The schedule of small building repairs can help members get quotes from potential building contractors which are easier to compare.
Retrofit Service
Stirling City Heritage Trust’s energy efficiency project will offer a variety of solutions using dedicated, expert staff who will undertake specialist inspections, offer practical advice and there will be a small grant to assist building owners to undertake appropriate retrofit measures.
TBHC Retrofit Grants
Retrofit Grants are available to Traditional Building Health Check members to support the cost of conservation-standard retrofit to historic and traditional buildings.
Stirling City Heritage Trust was set up by Historic Scotland in partnership with Stirling Council as a means of delivering focused investment in the historic built environment of the City of Stirling.
Traditional Buildings Health Checklist is currently funded by Historic Environment Scotland and run by Stirling City Heritage Trust on a not-for-profit basis. All membership and inspection fees collected from members are used within the project to assist in the financing of the service.
